Treat yourself to a guided tour direct from downtown Tromso to the magical new winter wonderland of Tromso Ice Domes.
A comfortable coach will depart from outside Magic Ice Bar every day at 10.30 (10.30 am) for the scenic 75-minute drive to this evocative and fairy tale venue in the Arctic wilderness.
Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, Tromso Ice Domes is built every year as the Polar Night approaches.
The snow and ice art reflects the unique bond between man and nature in a unique and breath-taking manner. The ice bars, our ice cinema, the ice bedrooms and ice restaurant have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the Northern Lights conveyed through beautiful colored lighting and wonderful ice sculptures.
On arrival at Tromso Ice domes, you will be greeted by your guide who will share their knowledge about the construction process of an ice hotel and guide about the impact the snow has for the survival of our arctic animals. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complementary. You will be able to purchase other drinks and order a delicious lunch, which will be served in the ice restaurant.
We also have a small group of reindeer at the Tromsø Ice Domes for our guests to visit. Please note that there is no reindeer sledding, sami culture, or petting the reindeer involved in this tour
Please note that as we maintain a temperature of minus 5 ˚C inside the ice domes, we recommend our guests to wear warm winter clothing.
Welcome to a once-in-a-lifetime experience of snow and ice magic in the Arctic wilderness!
