Drive your own team of huskies! Dog sledding is an experience out of the ordinary and a must-do for anyone visiting Northern Norway.
The dog sled has been used for centuries throughout the Arctic region. Mostly for travel and hunting reasons. It’s an adventurous way of travel and it brings you closer to the raw arctic wildlife.

The activity starts with a 50-minutes’ drive out to our basecamp in Breivikeidet. Once arriving you will be welcomed by our friendly staff who will give you some information about the stay. If you didn’t bring warm clothing, you may borrow a polar insulated suit, boots, hats and mittens.
At the basecamp we have 84 friendly Alaskan huskies with their own name and personality. The huskies love to meet and interact with guests, so don’t be afraid to give them a cuddle or two.
After meeting the huskies, the musher for the day will go through our safety instructions so you can have a wonderful experience as a musher. You get your own sledge that you share with one other person and 4-6 huskies run in front. We will use approximately 1,5 hours on the sledge, and this gives us enough time to enjoy the landscape and change musher (the one driving the team of huskies) on the way.
There are departures at 08:30, 10:40 and 19:30. During the evening tour you may have the possibility to see the Northern Lights appear at the sky above you.
If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
